Dr. Leonid Shegelman received his Medical Degree from the Ivanovo State Medical Academy, Ivanovo, USSR in 1986, and went on to complete his Internship in the US, at the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY and his Residency at the Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Leonid Shegelman is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Shegelman was awarded the Physician of the Year 2001 title by the Goldwater Memorial Hospital, New York, NY.
